What is first directory?
First directory is a package that gives you Worldwide Travel Insurance, Roadside Breakdown Assistance and ID Theft Assistance, Mobile Phone Insurance and a host of leisure benefits. It's currently £12 per month for an initial 12 months contract. After 12 months standard fee applies, currently £12 per month.

Who is first directory for?
First directory is available to all 1st Account holders. Please check eligibility criteria for each of the benefits.

Is there a minimum contract?
The minimum initial subscription is for a period of 12 months and is renewable monthly thereafter.

How much does it cost?

What are the benefits of joining first directory?

Worldwide Travel Insurance
Anyone who is thinking of travelling in the next 12 months could benefit from our Worldwide Travel Insurance (subject to status) which includes winter sports cover and is available for you and your family (for eligible customers aged under 70). Policy Terms and Conditions apply. Provided by Aviva Insurance Limited. Includes cover if you have to cancel your trip or are forced to remain abroad due to the closure of airspace for more than 24 hours or an airport or port you are travelling from or through being closed for the same period. All claims will be subject to assessment and other usual policy Terms and Conditions.

Roadside Breakdown Assistance
This 24 hour service gives you peace of mind, covering you whether you are a driver or a passenger of any eligible vehicle. You will be covered for emergency roadside repairs, occurring at least a quarter of a mile away from your home and local recovery to the nearest suitable garage. In addition we will provide national recovery of the vehicle to any UK destination, if we are unable to arrange a prompt local repair. Policy Terms and Conditions apply. Mobile Phone Insurance
Losing or having your mobile phone stolen can be expensive. But, first directory includes mobile phone insurance, with an annual value of £60, so you'll have no need to worry. Policy Terms and Conditions apply. Provided by Allianz Insurance plc.

Identity Theft and Personal Security Assistance with red24
When it comes to your personal security you will be able to benefit from Identity Theft Assistance, provided by red24. They are independent safety experts who are on hand for you and your family to use if you're ever worried about your personal safety or identity theft in the UK or abroad. This service provides you with immediate support via a 24 hour helpline. Find out more about red24.

Commission free currency and travellers cheques
Online travel money and travellers cheque orders are already commission free for all customers. Telephone orders are subject to a commission fee of 2%, minimum £3.95. This fee will be waived for first directory members. First directory members also enjoy cash withdrawals from machines abroad free of first direct ATM transaction fees, usually 2%, minimum £1.75, maximum £5.00 (on the account the first directory fee debits from). Some ATM operators may charge you for making withdrawals from their machines. Please note, a foreign exchange charge of 2.75% will still apply to any transaction you make abroad.
