Accessibility and what it means for you

Obviously, we want as many people as possible to visit our website. So we believe that our website should be just as accessible as our banking. That's why we follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, a set of guidelines used to ensure web sites are designed and written in a way that makes them accessible.

  • where we use images, we use alternative text so that those people who cannot see the image can read the text
  • we only use strong colour contrasts
  • headings are used correctly to make them readable through screen readers
  • links do what they say. We don't use 'click here'
  • tables are laid out in tabular form with headings and summaries
  • we use style sheets to determine the presentation of our web site - this assists those using screen reading devices.

We know the list shouldn't end there. So we always invite and listen to feedback. If you have any comments or suggestions, or experience any problems with our site, let us know and we'll do what we can to make it easier for everyone to access.
